There’s nothing like taking an AMI fishing charter with your friends.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Bradenton fishing charters. From March through April, our area is infused with energy and celebration. It’s awesome! And I love being a part of it.
Of course, the primary goal of most spring breakers is to spend time at the beach. And while AMI beaches are some of the best around, you’ve also got options beyond sunbathing in the sand. Consider changing up your beach schedule—and your spring break photos—by booking a local fishing charter on AMI. (And no, you don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn if you don’t want to!)
AMI excursions is a great choice for an exciting, memory-making spring break activity. Imagine showing off photos of you with the tarpon you reeled in or the pod of dolphins you spotted to your friends and family back home. This is the kind of fun you’re supposed to be having this time of year!
Spring Fishing Charters on Anna Maria Island Are the Best!
From my point of view, any day fishing is an amazing day, especially around here. We’re in a year-round fishing haven.
That being said, spring is absolutely a fantastic time to go fishing here, and it’s arguably the best time of year. The waters are warming up, all kinds of fish are active and moving through the area, and we’re enjoying loads of sunshine and comfortably warm weather with some amazing cool breezes thrown in to make it perfect.
All Kinds of Fish Are Biting in the Springtime
Yes, our waters are full of fish all year-round. But in spring, the migrating fish that spent the winter down south are cruising back through the area, and they’re hungry. Sarasota Bay, the Gulf just off the AMI beaches, and other neighboring waters are prime hunting grounds. And that’s where we drop our lines in and enjoy the ride.
Here’s just a slice of what we see this time of year:
- Snook: One of the most prized game fish in Florida, and snook season runs March through May.
- Tarpon: The other prized game fish, these “silver kings” attract adventure-seeking anglers from all around the world.
- Redfish
- Trout
- Spanish mackerel
- Kingfish
- Cobia
- Grouper
- Black drum
- Permit
Sounds awesome, right? You have no idea how awesome it really is until you get out on the boat.
Bonding Time With Pals
Not all fishing charters are built equal. Larger operations may put you on a boat with multiple parties. Some captains are newbies to the area and don’t know the best spots (especially the secret ones). Some boats just aren’t comfortable, or they don’t sit well in these waters.
AMI Excursions puts you on a 24-foot T-Craft fishing boat made specifically for fishing Anna Maria waters. It’s big enough to be comfortable for up to six people, but not so big that I have to pack it full with multiple parties just to pay for gas. It maneuvers easily and can reach all kinds of areas, even in our sometimes shallow flats.
And I’ll have my boat stocked and ready to roll with everything you need, including gear and live bait.
And, most of all, I love what I do, and I’ve been doing it for a long time. I can’t wait to show you how incredible this area is.
Spring AMI Fishing Charters Fill Up Fast
Honestly, it’s no secret that this is an amazing place for spring fishing. The only problem is that spots are limited.
If you and your friends are planning an AMI spring break this year, it’s time to book your AMI fishing charter now. Don’t miss out! Unlike some spring break activities, a fishing charter makes memories to last a lifetime!
